Why didn’t auto-detect choose the right source language for my file?
This article explains why auto-detect may not select the intended source language when translating a bilingual file, and how to resolve the issue.
The automatic language detection feature in Pairaphrase is designed to identify the source language of your file. However, when a document contains more than one language (for example, English and Spanish text within the same PowerPoint), the system may not always detect the specific language you intended to translate from.
This can result in the wrong language being identified as the source, which impacts your translation results.
Recommended Solution
To ensure your bilingual file translates accurately, we recommend that you:
-
Manually set the source language in the application instead of relying on auto-detect.
-
Select the language you want Pairaphrase to translate from.
-
Proceed with your translation as usual.
By specifying the source language, you direct Pairaphrase to translate only from your chosen language, which improves translation accuracy for bilingual files.
