How can I track the number of words translated in Pairaphrase?

This article explains how to view the total number of words processed and edited for a file using the File Time Audit in Pairaphrase.

Whether you need to monitor productivity, track editing time, or report on translation output, the File Time Audit gives you visibility into file-specific activity—including total word count, editing duration, and modifications made.

How to access File Time Audit

  1. Log in to your Pairaphrase account.
  2. Navigate to the File Time Audit section from your dashboard or Reports menu.
  3. Search for your file by name, date, or owner.
  4. Click the file row to view details.

What you can see in the audit

Each entry shows:

  • Last Modified – Date and time the file was last edited
  • File Name – Clickable link to the document
  • Owner – The user who uploaded or edited the file
  • MT Engine – The machine translation engine used
  • Editing Time – Time spent in the editor (in minutes)
  • Total Words – Total number of words in the document
  • Words/Segments Modified – Tracks active edits to the file

In the example below, the file had 3,345 words total, with 4 segments and 4 words manually modified. Editing time was under a minute, showing light post-editing activity.
