Pairaphrase provides several translation engines; DeepL, Google, Microsoft and ChatGPT, at the time of this article.
Google and Microsoft provide a similar experience and produce the fastest translations. They are ideal for many translation needs and offer the deepest language growth. Both support many endangered languages as well.
DeepL uses dynamic machine learning to produce translations. It will insert your terminology directly into your translations. It's ideal for users that want to produce custom translations that require little post-editing. This engine requires the development of glossaries and/or translation memories and may take longer to produce translations.
ChatGPT offers fluent and creative translation support, especially useful for general-purpose content. It is integrated within the Pairaphrase environment for secure usage.
Pairaphrase makes switching between translation engines easy:
To switch between machine translation engines, navigate to your User Profile page by clicking on your name (or My Account) in the upper right-hand part of your screen:
This will take you to your User Profile page. Click on Translation Engine on the left-hand sidebar:
This will take you to the Translation Engine page. Click on the button to choose the translation engine you want to use. Now you're ready to start translating.
