How to save your CSV file for translation
This article explains the correct file settings to produce an optimal translation.
CSV file settings for language translation
Microsoft Excel offers several “Save As” options to improve file compatibility across software versions. Excel users may need to share files with users who are using different software applications and different versions of the same software. The "Save As" options allow users to save their files in a format that is compatible with the other user's software. However, some of these options can cause issues during translation.

Pairaphrase supports both .csv and .xlsx file formats. However, saving your file as a CSV UTF-8 file will produce encoding issues in Pairaphrase.

If you are experiencing an encoding issue, Re-save your file as a standard CSV file (not CSV UTF-8). This will correct your encoding issues.
Avoid encoding issues by saving your Excel spreadsheets as .csv or .xlsx files for best translation results.
