Storing and reusing previous translations is a time-tested proven method to lower translation costs, improve translation quality, train machine translation engines, and reduce translation effort. There are several ways to create translation memories.

You can import translation memories that you've created in other translation applications in TMX format. Pairaphrase is fully TMX 2.0 compliant. Importing TMX files is very simple. Click on your name (step 1) in the upper right-hand corner of your screen. Click on Translation Memories (step 2) on the left-side bar. Click on the Upload Memory button and complete the pop-up. When you're finished click on the Upload button.

You can also create translation memories automatically while translating. When you review and edit translations in Pairaphrase, your text changes automatically create (and update) translation memories for you. There's nothing for the user to do other than edit and save translation changes. When you click on the SAVE button on the Translation Editor page, Pairaphrase adds your edited segments to your translation memory.
