Learn how Pairaphrase utilizes DeepL's glossary feature for consistent, custom translations tailored to your needs.
Pairaphrase allows users to upload or create glossaries within the platform. These glossaries can be linked to DeepL's system for supported language pairs*, ensuring that:
- Specific industry jargon, product names, or internal terminology is translated accurately.
- The correct term usage aligns with company standards or branding guidelines.
Using the DeepL Glossary feature within Pairaphrase is straightforward and designed to help you ensure consistent, accurate translations for key terms. Here’s a step-by-step guide:
First, go to your user profile and select the Translation Engine tab in the left sidebar. Now, select DeepL as your translation engine.
- Import a Glossary into Pairaphrase
- To create personalized translations, you'll first need a glossary prepared for import into Pairaphrase. The glossary should be formatted as a CSV file with comma-separated values. Here’s an example of how it should appear if you open it with Excel.
- Go to your user profile and click on UPLOAD CSV on the right side of the screen. Once uploaded, you will see your Glossary in the list of glossaries below.
- Enable your Glossary to be used by the DeepL translation engine
Now, click on the three dots on the right, under Action, and select ENABLE DEEPL. After a few seconds, you will see a green dot under Synced, which means that your glossary is now active and will be taken by the DeepL translation engine when processing your documents.
By integrating DeepL's Glossary feature, Pairaphrase provides a robust solution for enterprises that require tailored, secure, and consistent translations across projects.
